Brian Osborn, Petroleum Engineer

Brian graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 1994 and spent over 13 years as the operations manager for Gulfport Energy.  While working for Gulfport Energy, he was part of the management team that increased the Market Cap from approximately $150 million to over $6.0 billion.  He was responsible for drilling over 375 wells, 850 completions and recompletions and over 550 plugging and abandonments.  Brian’s responsibilities included managing daily operations and personnel in South Louisiana, Colorado, Ohio, and Belize.  Daily operations include the implementation of drilling, completions, recompletions, workovers, facility construction, optimization and operations, plugging and abandonment, coiled tubing operations, various artificial lift processes, permitting, regulatory, safety and environmental policies and AFE’s.

He was responsible for other operational functions including budget preparation, capital projects and maintenance, operating expense, and monitoring of production.  While in Oklahoma City, his additional responsibilities include economic analysis for acquisitions, reviewing drilling prospects and daily operations of operated properties in Oklahoma and East Texas and provided engineering and technical support for operations in Thailand.
