R.B. Ruston, Jr.

​Mr. Ruston attended Lamar University from 1964 - 1968.  In 1968 Mr. Ruston was Drilling and Completion Superintendent for Oil Country Exploration, Inc.

From 1975- 1980 co-founder/owner of International Western Oil Corporation, International Western Drilling and International Western Mud Corporation.  From 1981-1985 he served on the Board of Directors of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (PANOCO) a Marathon subsidiary, and the operating company for Marathon in Nigeria, Africa.  Responsible for the re-working of existing wells, and for the staffing and development of 450 kilometers of seismic, negotiated contracts, and was Public Liaison to the Nigerian government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).  Responsible for multi-million-dollar exploratory drilling project that resulted in 2 major oil discoveries in the Asaboro Structure.             

From 1985-1993 he served as an independent consultant.  In 1993 he formed Omni Directional Engineering.  ODE was responsible for evaluating drilling prospects and producing oil and gas properties.  ODE was invited by the Kuwait government to evaluate and estimate the cost of re-drilling the oil reserves after the Gulf War. 

Mr. Ruston has drilling and operating experience in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Wyoming, Africa, and South America (Peru).

From 1996-2000 Mr. Ruston semi-retired.

From 2000-2003, at the request of the COB, Mr. Ruston became President and General Manager for Global Envirotec, Inc of Lafayette, LA.  He was responsible for negotiating contracts with major oil companies such as Chevron, Texaco, Marathon, and Shell, and obtaining state and government permits from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Natural Resources (DNR), & the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). 

In December 2003 Mr. Ruston successfully negotiated a multi-million-dollar sale for Global Envirotec, Inc to ASCO Scotland, a worldwide offshore service company to the majors located in Aberdeen, Scotland.    

American Energy Oil & Gas currently owns 1,200 sq miles of Gulf Coast 3-D Seismic and develops prospects for the oil and gas industry. International Western is family owned. Exoro Energy, LLC is the Louisiana operating company established in 2012.  Coastal Pipeline Co is an 8-mile pipeline in S. LA in the Kings Bayou field connected to Chevrons main line and terminal.
