Dr. Rajendra Ghimire

Dr. Rajendra Ghimire is the Managing Partner at FIOPO, a global energy and environmental consulting company. He also holds the position of VP of Advisory Services at Clearyst, an organization dedicated to assisting businesses in achieving their ESG and sustainability objectives.

With a keen focus on energy expansion, energy transformation, and energy transition, Dr. Ghimire is instrumental in driving the conversion of oilfield water from a linear to a circular economy within the energy industry. His expertise lies in designing and implementing sustainable water and energy projects worldwide, particularly in the treatment and recycling of produced and flowback water. To date, he has successfully executed produced water treatment systems for over 100 million bbl. of water in countries including the United States, Canada, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Colombia.

Dr. Ghimire is an active collaborator with various startups and esteemed universities across the globe. His contributions extend to institutions such as Rice University, Texas A&M University, Ben-Gurion University in Israel, and IIT Kharagpur in India. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role as a commercial and technical advisor for nine startups and has served as a mentor for renowned programs like the US National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (NSF I-Corps) and Newchip Accelerator.

Academically, Dr. Ghimire holds a doctoral degree in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno. He further enriched his skill set by obtaining an executive MBA from the prestigious Anderson School of Management at UCLA in Los Angeles. Currently residing in Dallas with his wife and son, Dr. Ghimire's notable contributions and expertise continue to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy industry.
